Research reports (Call for papers)

You are invited to submit a paper in the field of mathematics education research. During the paper sessions accepted papers will be presented and discussed, papers directly related to the theme of the seminar will be grouped in a special strand. Deadline for submission of paper proposals (max. 10 pages, Word document) is November 1, 2007, notification of acceptance by December 1, 2007. Deadline for (revised) paper to be available (for conference participants) on the Madif6 web site is January 10, 2008. For publication in the proceedings, the deadline for the revised paper (no more than 10 pages, Times 12p, 1 1/2 space Word document) is March 1, 2008. Please send your paper as an e-mail attachment to the chair of the programme committee. A research report will have 60 minutes for presentation and discussion, in parallel sessions.

Short communications

You are invited to submit a proposal for a short communication. This format offers an opportunity to present and discuss for example parts of projects or work in progress. The research component of the short orals must be communicated in the proposal. Deadline for submission of abstracts for a short communication (max. 2 pages, Word document, Times 12 pts, 1 1/2 space) is November 1, 2007. Decision to accept a proposal will be made by the programme committee, and notification of acceptance will be sent by December 1, 2007. For publication in the proceedings, the deadline for the revised abstract (no more than 2 pages, Times 12p, 1 1/2 space Word document) is March 1, 2008. Please send your contribution as an e-mail attachment to the chair of the programme committee. A short communication will have 20 or 30 minutes (depending on the number of accepted proposals) for presentation and discussion, in parallel sessions.

Peer review

There will be a peer review process of the submitted full research paper contributions, where contributors (voluntarily) will take part in the review process by reviewing one or two submitted papers. The papers will aslso be reviewd by the programme committee and external experts. It is expected to be a constructive review process, where reviwers give suggestions to their peers for improving the quality of the contributions. The final decision of acceptance will be made by the programme committee.
