You are invited to submit a paper in the field of mathematics
education research. The main language is English but papers may also be written in Swedish. During the paper sessions accepted papers will be presented
and discussed. Deadline for submission of paper proposals
(max. 10 pages, Word document) is November 1, 2009, notification of acceptance
by December 1, 2009. Deadline for (revised) paper to be available (for
conference participants) on the Madif7 web site is January 10, 2010. For
publication in the proceedings, the deadline for the revised paper (no more than 10
pages, Times 12p, 1 1/2 space Word document) is March 1, 2010. Please
send your paper as an e-mail attachment to the chair of the programme
committee. A research report will have 45 minutes (note the change from 60 min that was previously announced, due to the number of papers) for presentation and discussion,
in parallel sessions.
Short communications
Peer review
There will be a peer review process of the submitted full research
paper
contributions,
where contributors (voluntarily) will take part in the review process
by
reviewing one or two submitted papers. The papers will aslso be reviewd
by the programme committee and external experts. It is expected to be a
constructive review process, where reviwers give suggestions to their
peers
for improving the quality of the contributions. The final decision of
acceptance will be made by the programme committee.
Conference venue: Campus Konradsberg (Stockholm University), address Rålambsvägen 36, 10026 Stockholm. Here is a map. The plenary session and some working sessions will take place in house D, most of the working sessions in house Z.
The welcome dinner will take place at Myntkrogen, Slottsbacken 6, Gamla stan (Old Town)
Conference fee: The conference fee is 1300 SEK (+VAT) including lunch and coffees, conference material, and the conference proceedings; welcome dinner on January 26 is optional to an extra cost (300 SEK). For full participation at Matematikbiennalen 2010 , the registration fee for MADIF 7 is only 800 SEK (+VAT). Registration can be done online (se link below), deadline January 10, 2010.
Accomodation: At nearby hotels. Please contact conference secretary.
Language: The conference language will be English. Some paper sessions may be in Swedish.
