About MAI

The Department of Mathematics has 110 employees - including teachers/researchers, and Phd. Students, as well as administrative and technical staff. Teaching is under the auspices of the Institute of Technology, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Educational Sciences. Research undertaken within the Institute ranges over a wide spectrum from pure mathematics and scientifically generated approaches to applications within the fields of technology, science and economics. The department comprises four different subject areas:
